Temple Beth Joseph Celebrates Christmas!?

(placeholder)

What is this? Does a Conservative Synagogue & member of The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism actually celebrate Christmas? Well, not exactly, but our traditions do teach כל דכפין ײתי ויכל - "all who are hungry, let them come and eat." To honor that tradition, and to spread good will at this time of year, we of Temple Beth Joseph host a Christmas Dinner, held at a local church, for those in our community who wish to have a catered dinner at their special time of the year. We consider it a great act of gemilut chasadim to help out; not to mention that it is a whole lot of fun for those of us who participate!
